The Widow's Prayer: Christian Poetry Volume 3
PRESS RELEASE: Author Publishes Third Book of Poetry
Author-screenwriter-producer Claire Hutchinson has published her third volume of Christian poetry entitled: The Widow's Prayer: Christian Poetry Volume 3.
Like Hutchinson's last book, True Love: Christian Poetry Volume 2, this volume is also a tribute and testimony to God's person, His power, His loving and saving nature, and the eternal truths contained in His Word, but in the context of widowhood and the grieving process.
The poems are divided into five sections: 1) Grief, which elucidates the many emotions and stages of grief; 2) The Beloved, which focuses on how much we loved and miss our soulmate and our need to rely on God to take care of him or her; 3) God's Protection and Provision, which urges readers to seek the Lord in their grief and sorrow because He is our Maker, our Husband and He will provide for and protect us; 4) The Community of Faith, which is about the need to join with the faithful in our grief so they can stand with us and be a comfort for us; and 5) The Reunion, which helps us to see that our loved one is in the arms of God and we will be eventually reunited with them in heaven, as we are united in Christ.
The poetry book has received good reviews:
"In The Widow's Prayer, author Claire Hutchinson uses poetry to allow the reader to enter the grief she felt with the death of her husband. Yet, it is more than poetry on grief. It is, more importantly, a help to those in grief to find a way through grief to reliance on God. To those who are experiencing this grief, it will be the help of one who has traveled this road before. To those who have not experienced this grief, it will allow a small insight into how we can relate and perhaps even help others."
