At the Cross: Christian Poetry Volume 4
PRESS RELEASE: Author Publishes Fourth Book of Poetry
Author-screenwriter-producer Claire Hutchinson has published her fourth volume of Christian poetry entitled: At the Cross: Christian Poetry Volume 4.
Like Hutchinson's last book, The Widow's Prayer: Christian Poetry Volume 3, this volume is also a tribute and testimony to God's person, His power, His loving and saving nature, and the eternal truths contained in His Word.
R.W. Nelson, Founder, Layman Bible College Institute, gives a glowing review of the book:
"Once again, Claire Hutchinson's At The Cross: Christian Poetry Volume 4, sets us on a journey into the realm of the heart full of hope and purpose. Starting with the Prelude (“Fear Not”), Hutchinson reminds us that God is watching over His people (Matthew 10:24-31) and that we have the capacity to trust Him and have faith in His leading. Then, dividing this volume of poetry into five sections, her sections can be seen as lessons on basic discipleship. Section One — (At The Cross) — begins with our "Burdens are Lifted" and concludes with "Fulness of Joy."
Section Two (The Christian Walk) has twenty-two powerful poems designed to encourage us to grow in Christ and provides the reader with applications for daily living. This truly is an amazing book of insight. The contrast between Section Three (The Degraded World) and Section Four (The Godhead) is striking and brings two verses into mind: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:5, NASB) and “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature, the old things passed away; behold new things have come” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NASB).
Finally, this volume concludes with Section Five (Holiday Poems), bringing a traditional and celebratory tribute to our major holidays, and concludes with a testimony as the Postlude.
I very much recommend this book as not only a part of a personal quiet time with God, but corporately in a Sunday school program, small Bible study group, or even in a retreat setting. Every believer can benefit by sharing this journey with Claire Hutchinson."
